About Adobe XD
Adobe XD is Adobe's UI/UX design and prototyping tool. Development has effectively wound down as Adobe shifted focus, which is why many teams are migrating to Figma or Penpot — but existing files and workflows still work.
About Penpot
Penpot is the open-source design and prototyping platform — the closest self-hostable answer to Figma. It uses open web standards (SVG, CSS) natively, so design and code stay in sync, and it's free without seat limits.
