About Discord
Discord organizes communities into servers with text channels, voice rooms and video. Originally built for gamers, it now hosts every kind of community and small team, with roles, bots and rich moderation tools. Core features are free; Nitro adds perks.
About Element
Element is a secure messenger built on the open Matrix protocol. Conversations are end-to-end encrypted and decentralized: host your own server or use any Matrix provider, and still talk to everyone on the network.
