ModusBill is billing software built for law firms and accounting firms. It records time, flat fees and expenses against matters or engagements, turns that work into invoices, and lets clients pay online through a secure link with no account or portal login required. Law firms get IOLTA trust accounting with client ledgers that can't go negative, an uneditable audit trail and monthly three-way reconciliation, plus LEDES 1998B export for insurers and corporate clients. Accounting firms get recurring billing for standing fees and a two-way QuickBooks Online connection that keeps invoices and payments in sync. Both get time tracking, retainer and flat-fee billing, Stripe and PlaceToPay payments, A/R aging reports and data import from other billing systems. The whole platform works in English and Spanish, and each client is billed in their own language regardless of who sends the invoice. Pricing is per user per month starting at $30, with every feature included in every tier and a 30-day free trial.
